In our first Player Profile, we proudly honour a true legend in the sport of bowls — Anneke Scheepers, affectionately known as The Queen of Goodwood. With a decorated career spanning club, national, and international levels, Anneke continues to raise the bar for excellence, sportsmanship, and leadership in the game.

From the greens of Goodwood to international podiums, Anneke’s commitment to bowls has been nothing short of extraordinary. Her precision, calmness under pressure, BMT, and unwavering dedication make her not only a formidable opponent but also a beloved figure within the bowls community.

International Achievements

Anneke has proudly represented South Africa on the world stage for the last decade, showcasing her class in international competitions and leaving a trail of medals and respect in her wake.

• Remains inside the Top 10 in the latest World Bowls Series Rankings. On 31 October 2025 the Top 10 will be invited to the first ever World Bowls Series finals to be staged in Australia from 9–13 December 2025.
• Will be representing South Africa at the World Bowls Series in Malaysia from 4–8 November 2025.
• Included in the final squad from which the 2026 Commonwealth Games players will be selected.
